I was a bit of a card junkie actually. The thing that cured me? Playing with a friend of mine who was an anal retentive stickler for the rules. He had the amazing ability of interpreting the instructions on a card to his advantage.
It got kind of dull losing to him after a while, and I was cured.

I never got into this as a nerd teenager because, well bitches, I had AD&D and a Players Handbook and Monsters Compendium hid well in my massive backpack.
I’d totally go on a date with the guy though, he has $$$ and bullshit job maybe so we could send cat photos and youtube clips back and forth at work. I get to stay in comped hotels when hes off at MTG tournaments or his high stakes...
