Time to let your husbands subsume you, ladies!  You’re MARRIED now; what’s the point if you can’t let the world know via a dramatic name-change?

I don’t think giving up your maiden name means you’re letting your husband subsume you, but really, who effing cares what someone uses as their name on facebook? If someone wants to use their maiden name (whether they’ve kept it or not) it’s really NOYB. Why would you care anyhow?

Funny.  I recall some outlet (Slate?), arguing the same thing over Mothers using kids’ photos on FB instead of there own.  talk about subsuming.
